Identifying Invasive Weed Species in Alpine Vegetation Communities Based on Spectral Profiles

چکیده
This study examined the use of hyperspectral profiles for identifying three selected weed species in alpine region New South Wales, Australia. The targeted weeds included Orange Hawkweed, Mouse-ear Hawkweed and Ox-eye daisy, which have caused a great concern to regional biodiversity health environment Kosciuszko National Park. Field surveys using spectroradiometer were undertaken measure leaves flowers companion native plants. Random Forest (RF) classification was then applied distinguish spectral bands would differentiate from Our results showed that an accuracy 95% achieved if distinct considered, 80% only considered. Emulation two multispectral sensors (Sentinel-2 Parrot Sequoia) conducted investigate whether could potentially be wider bands.

Improved Invasive Weed Optimization Based on Hybrid Genetic Algorithm
An improved Invasive weed optimization (IWO) based on hybrid genetic (HGIWO) is presented. In the new arithmetic, the inertial weight is adaptively adjusted to improve the convergence speed. The weeds are multiples by the selection and hybridization of genetic arithmetic. The import of hybrid genes improves excellent performance of weeds and reduces likelihood on getting into local optimization...
متن کاملThe impact of invasive species Leucanthemum vulgare Lam. on vegetation characteristics of Fandoghlou rangelands in Namin county, Ardabil , Iran
Presence of invasive species on rangelands is a degradation sign. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of invasive species Leucanthemum vulgare Lam. on the structural and functional characteristics of Fandoghlou rangelands in the Namin county of Ardabil province. The model used for sampling was the stratified random systematic. Two main sites with the presence and absence of L. vul...
متن کاملPrecipitation and aridity index regulating spatial patterns of vegetation production and species diversity based on alpine grassland transect, Tibetan Plateau
31 Although the relationship between the aboveground net primary production (ANPP) and species 32 diversity (SR) have been widely reported, there is considerable disagreement about the fitting 33 patterns of SR–ANPP, which has been variously described as ‘positive’, ‘negative’, ‘unimodal’, 34 ‘U-shaped’ and so on. Not surprisingly, the effect-factors including precipitation, aridity index and 3...
متن کاملThe effects of foundation species on community assembly: a global study on alpine cushion plant communities.
Foundation species can change plant community structure by modulating important ecological processes such as community assembly, yet this topic is poorly understood. In alpine systems, cushion plants commonly act as foundation species by ameliorating local conditions. Here, we analyze diversity patterns of species' assembly within cushions and in adjacent surrounding open substrates (83 sites a...
متن کاملA nature-based approach for managing the invasive weed species Gutenbergia cordifolia for sustainable rangeland management
BACKGROUND The invasive weed species Gutenbergia cordifolia has been observed to suppress native plants and to dominate more than half of the entire crater floor (250 km2) in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). As this species has been found to be toxic to ruminants it might strongly impact animal populations in this ecologically diverse ecosystem. Hence, a nature-based approach is urgently...
